These Terms govern your use of the Dog Life OS website and app (the "Services"), provided by Charis Digital LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Not veterinary advice
Dog Life OS is an organization and information tool. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a licensed veterinarian. AI-generated insights may be incomplete or wrong. If your dog may be sick or injured, contact a veterinarian. In an emergency, go to an emergency animal hospital or call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You are responsible for your account, keeping your credentials secure, and the accuracy of the information you add.
3. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, renew automatically until cancelled, and can be managed or cancelled in your store account settings. Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled under the applicable store's policies. Prices may change with advance notice.
4. Your content
You own the information, photos and documents you add. You grant us a limited license to host, process and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services for you. You confirm you have the right to upload it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Services: no unlawful activity, no interfering with or reverse-engineering the Services, no uploading of malicious code, and no content that infringes others' rights.
6. Community and user content
The community feed is for dog owners to share and help each other. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post content that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or targets anyone, or promotes hate or discrimination;
- is sexual, graphic, violent, or shows or encourages cruelty to animals;
- gives dangerous advice about animal health, such as unsafe remedies or discouraging needed veterinary care;
- sells or offers animals, or promotes illegal products or activities;
- shares someone else's personal information or photos without permission;
- is spam, scams, advertising or misleading, or infringes anyone's copyright or trademark.
Reporting and blocking. You can report a post, comment or user from within the app, or email hello@doglifeos.com. You can also block users so you no longer see their content. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
Our rights. We may remove any content and warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. We are not responsible for content posted by users, and it does not reflect our views.
Your posts. You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it within the Services so the community feature can work. You can delete your posts at any time.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email hello@doglifeos.com with a description of the work, where the content appears, your contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.
8. Third-party services and affiliate links
The Services may link to third-party products and services, such as pet insurance or veterinary telehealth. Some links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. Third-party offerings are provided and governed by those third parties. We are not an insurance agent, broker or producer, and nothing in the Services is insurance advice or a recommendation to buy any policy.
9. App stores
If you download the app from Apple or Google, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, who have no responsibility for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Intellectual property
The Services, including the Dog Life OS name, logo, design and software, belong to us and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any insight is accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
